Thanks Beth! Your advice is always so helpful. You know, it really is true that you cannot lay down before your bedtime. Last night I was really really tired, so I laid down on my stomach to read the "Anxiety and Phobia Workbook" (which is helpful, thanks for the suggestion). I was asleep in two seconds but it was only 7:00. I slept for maybe an hour. However, after that I could not get sleepy. If I could just carry this through to my bedtime, it would be wonderful. If you think about it, Wiedman's approach mimics the habits of good sleepers, i.e., they generally stay active until later and then watch a little TV before bed and fall right to sleep. The trick is to get more natural with this so you don't get keyed up close to bedtime. This is the hardest part for me.
