No relief

Posted by Ellie on January 06, 2002 at 14:56:28:

Hi, Do any of you ever feel that this insomnia is really never going to end? I've had this chronic horrible disease for over 8 years now and I feel like maybe I'm someone who is destined to never get relief. I have been practicing sleep restriction for about 6-7 weeks now. The last 3 have been under a behavior/sleep doctor's guidance. It looked like last week I was improving, bed at 2:00, getting up at 6:45 (TORTURE!!!) and finally sleeping till the alarm 3 days in a row. Wouldn't you know the last 2 nights have been horrendous, maybe 3 1/2 hrs. Is this ever going to work? I was feeling optimistic but now depressed. I'm walking, practicing relaxation, no meds. What's it going to take? Does anyone else feel like this? Ellie
