Ambien users please respond

Hi
I am new to the site and I have suffered from insomnia off and on (mostly on) for the last ten years. I was recently given a perscription for Ambien. I am told that it can be highly addictive. I haven't taken it yet because I am a little scared I might get hooked on it. If anyone out there has ANY kind of experience with Ambien, good or bad, please write back.
