As you can see I too use Sleepless in Seattle on this forum. Mostly I am on the sleep apnea forum though. I have been using Ambien recently, and my experience has been that it is only effective for a few days. I apparently build up a tolerance to it. The book "The Promise of Sleep" says that the new sleep medications, like Ambien, are not addictive. However, it also states that you do not build up a tolerance to it, and I do.
