It might help if you try shifting your thoughts away from 'how am I feeling today?' and 'did I get enough sleep?' to something entirely unrelated to sleep. Do you have a hobby? Or can you absorb yourself in your job? Can you work on a surprise project for your significant other? This summer, once we started doing lots of work on the house, it definitely helped distract me from focusing on sleep all the time. Whenever you find yourself dwelling on sleep and how tired you may or may not feel, do a positive affirmation of some sort, then move on to something else, immediately. Your brain will eventually switch to a new topic with less and less conscious effort.
Although you've had some negative thoughts here and there, it definitely sounds to me like you are on the right track!
