I have been taking Ambien for several years. I started taking it on international trips when I needed to sleep in foreign countries. I don't take it every night, only occasionally. It works great for me. I've never experienced any negative side effects. My doctor was reluctant to give me another prescription. She said it was like putting a bandaid on a broken leg. Yet, she didn't have any other solution for insomnia.
