Hi.
I am no doctor but I did take Remeron for a while. For me, it was the easiest thing I've ever come off of. Your taper sounds good to me but I am no expert. I tapered to 7.5 as well and then I really got fat. Remeron makes you gain weight at smaller doses. I quit taking it and my doctor had switched me to Serzone. It wasn't a problem for me at all. However, you migt be missing out on the sedating effect of Remeron. I suggest you wait a little while and see if you natural sleepiness returns. I don't take Serzone or Remeron anymore. I gained 20 pounds on Remeron. Ick! God Bless.
