I did take remeron for about5 months- at about 15-30mg. I stopped cold-turkey ( not recommended) and I did have withdrawal symptoms. Sleeplessness, major sweating espisodes, anxiety. These symptoms lasted approximately 3 weeks- but remember I stopped "cold-turkey" (but I am glad I am off of it!)

Remeron never really helped me with insomnia- the active chemical in Remeron that helps with sedation is basically the same thing as Benadryl- which never helped me either. I think for most people the sedating effect of Remeron wares off after awhile ( just like with any other drug). As an antidepressant, Remeron seems to get good reviews.
