Seroquel

Posted by scared in Mobile on February 18, 2002 at 14:09:46:

I recently overdosed on ambien. To make a long story short, I have been self medicating for insomnia with over the counter sleep aids for years. Usually, they don't work unless I take a "Marilyn Monroe" dose. Since they are over the counter, though, I have never OD'd. However, ambien stopped working and I tried the old doubling up thing and "doubled up" a whole bottle in insomniac desperation. Having had a history of depression - which I have heard is one reason for insomnia, of course there is always the possibility of some latent suicidal wish. However, which comes first the chicken or the egg? Anyway, I have read about seroquel being an "anti psychotic". Andrea Yates was diagnosed psychotic. I am not out of touch with reality. I am afraid to take this drug. Any one have thoughts on this?
