Have you read (carefully) the books by Gregg Jacobs (Say goodnight to insomnia) and John Wiedmann (Desperately Seeking Snoozin')? They are very good and have very important advice which WILL help you in the long run if you follow it.

The key thing right now is to get out of this agitated state you are in. You need to practice daily techniques which calm your mind and you need to replace your negative thoughts by more positive ones. I really believe that is essential. I was in your situation and now, with a clearer mind, can really see what I was doing wrong - obsessing all the time about lack of sleep, how tired I was, feeling anxious, etc.
So please do read those books and follow one of the two programmes. Be patient and persevere and you will be rewarded. Try to fill your heart with love for those around you and be as positive as possible. Pray, if you are religious. Try to accept yourself as you are and appreciate all the small pleasures in life. I could go on for ever (and frequently do!!), but I have already given plenty of advice on this forum, so read my previous posts if you want more info ON HOW I GOT OUT OF 15 YEARS' CHRONIC INSOMNIA ALONE. It takes strength and it takes willpower, but you can do it too, I know you can!
