Sleepy....You eventually will have to make some peace with this dilemma. I think you need to concentrate on the good things you have in your life; like having a job, a house, and also a wonderful fiance that loves and is concerned about you..... Stopping the obsession is difficult. It comes with mastery of the insomnia. Once in a while I still have the inclination to obsess a little if I am having a lousy week, which happens occasionally, and usually it is at the expense of ruining a vacation. I have a similar problem of early awakening and although I would love to wake up at a more civilized hour, I know I may never. I can choose to depress myself over this prospect, or just accept the outcome, whatever it may be, and work with it.I think that maybe you will have to just be more tolerant and accepting. You have written some posts where you sound very happy and things look promising. Remember every day cannot be perfect, whether you sleep or not.Just do the best you can, and stop being so hard on yourself. When you get that positive feeling, hold on to it and don't let it go..Just talk yourself out of the blues. You can do it Sleepy....Just think of this problem as a couple of hours of lost sleep and nothing more. The more you think of it is a terrible problem, the more terrible the problem becomes. It's just like the difference between cancer patients who start living when they receive a diagnosis, and the the ones that begin to die immediately. Make less of it and it will not be this insurnmountable problem but merely a nuisance. I was where you are many years ago, so believe me I empathize with you....But it is not just a quetion of snapping out of it. It is a final conclusion of options. You can choose to let it drive you crazy, or you can go with the flow.... I hope you can make some mental adjustments so that this will not drive you crazy. In the mean time eat enough protein during the day, and possibly drink some electrolytes for energy.I don't know how you feel about herbs, but ashwaganda is an Indian herb known for it's energizing an balancing properties. Maybe you could as you say, give it a go....Wishing you well..Hope
