Thanks for your kind posts Janie. I remember when I first read the two books in question I was somewhat sceptical too, because my case was also a lot worse than those referred to in the books. However, as Hope said, when the time is right you do start to realise deep down that you have to change your thoughts. From what you said in a previous post maybe you have reached the right time to start the journey towards recovery (because that's what it is - no quick fixes here). I am so glad you're starting to see things that way and that our posts are helping you. Quite often doctors and therapists offer the wrong advice, also because they have never had the problem themselves so don't really know much about it. It is not a simple problem and there is no one 'right' answer - it's just a question of getting your life and your mind in balance, developing a more positive mindset, and gradually everything falls into place, above all the blessed SLEEP.

Someone earlier on this forum (was it Hope?) said that you must stop thinking about sleep, and that is so true. Because the more you think about it the more obsessive you become and it is a real vicious circle. Anyway, I wish you all the best - it sounds like you're on the right road.
