Can Any Recommend an Anxiety Book?

Posted by Marie on February 20, 2002 at 12:50:16:

Hi. I'm one of those people who often takes hours to fall asleep. The night before last, I did not fall asleep. (No, I didn't drift off without realizing it.) My body was tired, but my mind remained active/alert ALL night.

Anyhow, even though I have purchased and read 2 insomnia books, I am not convinced I want to re-read them, because I find that the more I READ/THINK about insomnia, the more of an issue it becomes for me.

I suppose what I am trying to say is that rather than stress about getting to sleep, I need to work on how to NOT stress about it. Does that make sense?

Anyhow, can anyone recommend any books that might help me out? Someone suggested to me that I buy the Anxiety and Phobia Workbook, but it's awfully expensive (close to $40). Of course it would be money well spent, but was hoping to find a cheaper one.

ANy ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks.
