I suggest you go to the person who prescribed the medication and get more information on why it was prescribed for you. Get specifics. See if you agree with this approach. Ask loved ones or others who know you well, whether they agree that this is the way to go. You might also consider getting a second opinion from another doc, AND get your doc to refer you to a therapist.

This is a good idea when prescribed any medication that can affect mood.
