A few questions for Lynne.

Posted by Scott M on February 22, 2002 at 09:33:31:

Hi Lynne,
I've been reading your previous posts for the last week and they have inspired and motivated me to take immediate action in becoming medication free.I have reached
the conclusion that it is crazy to take something to help me sleep that rarely works anymore. To endure all of the negative side effects for maybe 2 hours of sleep is nuts.
I have a couple of questions for you. The first one;should i stay out of the bed during the rebound insomnia period? I'm concerned about the association between the bed and sleep. Second, besides meditating and taking long baths, is there anything else that i can do, to relieve the physical exhaustion and anxiety that i will experience? My doctor has given me the ok on coming off the trazodone completely. Again, your courage and success have encouraged me to finally take action.I know for me that it is the right decision. Any other tips for coping with the rebound insomnia would be appreciated. God Bless
