panic/anxiety and insomnia

Does anyone wake up in the middle of the night with panic and anxiety? Does anyone have chest pain and heart palpitations that can't be linked to any heart problem, but which are worsened by sleeplessness? Any other symptoms linked to insomnia? Or are most insomniacs on this board just tired when they don't sleep? (not that being exhausted all of the time isn't awful enough on its own!)
