Posted by Joanie on April 14, 2002 at 18:14:50:Sorry Kim, I inadvertantly posted an incomplete message. To answer your question in the April 11 post, I now occasionally take an herbal sleep aid and practice (as much as possible) regular bedtime/wakeup hours(my version of sleep restriction). I have the two books available on this forum and found them very useful...I give the edge to Jacob's "Say Good Night to Insomnia" as I find it a little more comprehensive. One line I recall that rang so true for me was that unresolved emotional issues/feelings can lead to insomnia. I guess I'm the type that likes to understand what I'm dealing with and more importantly, why? Liked your reference to "black thoughts"...had so many of them the past couple of years ....and I must say it's nice to have them a charcoal color now and getting lighter all the time. When you're ready you'll lick this thing. Keep in touch and I wish you restful sleeps and pleasant dreams....Joanie
P.S. I find your attitude very uplifting and hope you continue to be a part of this forum....I just wish I had found it earlier in my plight! J
