Posted by Melanie on April 15, 2002 at 13:18:13:I have had insomnia for a couple of years now. It takes me 2-3 hours to go to sleep, then I wake up a few times during the night. I have cut out caffeine after lunchtime, and I exercise mid morning, hoping that would wear me out.
I take 5 mg of Ambien once or twice a week, and sleep very well those nights. I don't want to take it too often though, because I do not want to become dependant on it.
I am thinking about going to a Sleep Disorder Clinic.....has anyone been to one of these for insomia....and did it work??
