I have been on Ativan which is the same thing as you are taking but a different name up here in Canada and I am taking less then 1 mg and would also like to know how to break the habit. I am taking it because of anxiety brought on by other medical problems but today my anxiety level dropped and I am going to see if I can avoid taking it.
I have been taking Valerian (two pills) an over the counter product but I doubt it is helping me to sleep.
I am also looking for an answer to the question you asked.
