If you go to bed as early as 9.30 then maybe it's natural for your body to wake up at 4 a.m. Not everybody needs as much sleep as they think. As for the 1 a.m. wake-up, well, maybe you're in a light phase of sleep at that time and because you have some subconscious anxiety (because of waking up what you consider to be too early maybe?) you wake up. But if you can get back to sleep again until 4, don't worry. If I were you, I would do some anti-anxiety/relaxation exercises during the day, tell yourself that everything is fine, that your life is great, that you fear nothing etc. (exercise in re-programming your subconscious). Above all, don't think of how much you do or don't sleep. Accept it. If you're tired, mentally shrug your shoulders and say 'so what, a lot of people are tired, it's no big deal'. Then, over time the anxiety should diminish and your sleep should become better. (But don't necessarily expect to sleep 8 hours a night - not everyone needs to).
Remember, anxiety over the problem only makes it a lot worse, so do work on this aspect (forget the sleep aspect) and then sleep will come naturally once again.
