Hi Lawrence,

It certainly helped for me. I was able to stop taking klonipin. There were a few side effects of Paxil for a while but MOST of them went away.

I am now tapering off of Paxil after being on it for nearly a year.

I have a few suggestions for you. First, you may discuss with your doc why you need to go up to 20 mg. Maybe try 10 for a while. I was prescribed 20 at first and it was most certainly too much. Then again, I weigh 120 lbs and most drug doses are set with a 150 lb male in mind.

My other suggestion is that you see a therapist as well as taking the Paxil. I did this and it helped me come up with some cognitive tricks to help me sleep.

Good luck with it.

A.N.
