Sorry to keep bothering everyone.....

Posted by Melanie on April 19, 2002 at 07:31:23:

But I am desperate. I am so tired all of the time. I have fallen asleep several times at church and have begun dozing off for short moments at work. It takes me 2-3 hours to go to sleep, then I wake up often during the night.
My doctor gave me Effexor XL for depression....(even though I am not depressed) It did nothing for me, even after 6 months. I take 5 mg of Ambien twice a week. I won't take more for fear of dependancy. I don't know what is wrong with me....My blood pressure is borderline high now, even though I am not a high risk for high blood pressure. My doctor just tells me to try to relax.
I have sometimes dreamed I am choking on something big I have swallowed, and I have dreamed I am drowning. This gets brushed off also. I cannot refer my self to a sleep clinic, because the insurance will not cover any of it for a self-referred patient.
What can I do? I am exhausted....It is affecting my energy (I have none) and my memory is pitiful. My muscles ache like I am catching the flu.
Please, give me some advise.
