Hi J,

I've been suffering from chronic insomnia for nearly 2 years now and also have a very active racing mind. I can totally relate to what you're saying, my head becomes filled with memories, conversations and songs that I just cannot stop. Its like my brain is a movie and is on fast forward and I can't slow it down.
I did some meditation classes last Summer which taught me how to empty my brain of all thoughts. I find that meditating can help to slow my brain down and also focus on your breathing, breathe from your abdomen. This kind of breathing can really relax you and can sometimes take your mind off your thoughts.

Best of Luck,

Sleepless Sam.
