I was gone a few days. I believe last time I had sent message responses to Joy and Martha. I was saying many meds do not work well for me for sleep but there is one in my arsenal which I use only when I am in extreme BOWS (that's Bouncing Off the Walls) from lack of sleep. It is Temazepam or brand name Restoril. You know I have to love the marketing folks at these drug companies. The chemists give drugs their generic names but it is marketing that comes up with brand names. Ah, yes, Restoril. It Restores your life. It brings back the good ole days. Well, if you haven't slept or much in 2 days, maybe you do feel restored after a good night's sleep. There is a bit of a grogginess for about 2 hours after I get up. Like I say, I use this one sparingly. It is a benzo so can become addictive if used habitually. I work with a provider to map out a plan on attacking this sleep problem. The whole idea is to use what works when you are in a severe BOWS situation. But hopefully, in-between you are finding a way to get your own natural sleep back.
