Remeron saved my life! I used Ambien and Xanax, but the more I took, the more I needed and rest was terrible. Remeron restored my sleep and took away the depression I experienced due to lack of sleep. Also, I didn't need anything else - the narcotics went to the trash. However, Remeron is not an anxiolytic so in times that I experienced problems and the consequent anxiety, Remeron was not effective - I'd finally fall asleep around 3am after taking it at 10 or 11 the night before. I started with 30 mg, but not I take the 15 mg and break it into 1/4 and it works fine for me. Good luck!
