Posted by Jude on June 27, 2002 at 00:22:03:I have been reading a lot of postings with regard to anxiety related insomnia. My problem initially started with just the insomnia. I could deal with this for a week or so but all of a sudden I started to get these attacks in the day where I could feel my heart beating really fast and the adrenaline pumping. This carried on through the night and I can honestly say I did not get a wink of sleep 4 nights running. The worst thing is I was still hypo the next morning as my adrenaline was still kicking in!! I got myself sooo worked up that I eventualy had to be put on Lorazepam for my anxiety. This I have been taking on and off for the last month, every time I try to reduce the dose I have another attack! My sleep is better with these but I am still only averaging 4-5 hours. I wonder if anyone has any advice? I have tried deep breathing techniques and other relaxation methods but I am beyond these! I just want to get back to my normal self I was 4 months ago!
