Melatonin worrks great for me for jet lag!
Here's another thought: It seems that SR doesn't leave you much flexibility in your life. Do you think that it's worth it? Or do I not have an accurate impression of the strictness of the sleeping regime?
For example, can you stay out a little late every once in a while -- like go to a party and stay until midnight? Can you get up extra early every once in a while for a specific activity like a long hike or skiing?
Can you 'sleep in' for an extra hour if the urge strikes?
