Have you tried Relaxation Tapes? I mean the
guided visualization/relaxation tapes. I found them to be helpful. You can get them on the web or possibly in big book stores.

Anyhow, see your doc. Try to think positively
and things can/will change for the better. I still have problems on/off. I have had problems
with anxiety and sleep seems like forever.

I have learned not to fight it but to recognize it as a problem and deal with it. Be it with prescribed meds, tapes, yoga, lots of exercise etc. As a result my mindset on dealing with anxiety has changed a lot for the better over the years. Still there but controllable.

For the short term, if you have or can get guided meditation tapes they may help.
