No you are not the only sufferer in the U.K. - I`m in the Midlands. Just out of interest perhaps you would care to comment on the treatment you have received via the NHS (I assume you haven`t gone private). My personal opinion is that sleep disorders aren`t taken that seriously until they become chronic at which point the standard methods used to treat them are fairly ineffective. Timely intervention is important in order to try to break the inevitable spiral into uncontrollable anxiety and further more serious problems, however, if you have had perfect sleep in the past you tend to accept the initial stages of insomnia as something that might pass and often the chance to attack the early development is lost (certainly in my case). Anyway if you have any suggestions regarding treatment in the U.K. that would be helpful.
