Posted by crusader on August 12, 2002 at 11:03:34:Hi Quick, Glad to meet someone so close. By the way I am near derby. As for the NHS I can't blame them, but I can blame the Army Doctors for not sorting my problem out and ignoring the fact that I perhaps needed help? Unfortunately Anxiety and Insomnia did not seem to be recognised while I was there, so in fact I just thought I was going mad? Anyway as for the civvy doctor, well first I was put on Prozac which just made the Anxiety worse and then I was sent for councelling. To be honest I think it has beem 20% NHS and 80% willpower to keep going. At present i am taking St Joh'ns Wort and have fully accepted my insomnia is for life which has in turn made me sleep better??? I know that I will still get very bad periods of Anxiety etc, indeed I have just come through one, as finaly I have taken a full time job, which was a big step for saying I have just been working as a casual since leaving the Forces. I also take a herbal sleep tablet when things get bad, and I have to say it is the best one yet but I am not allowed to mention the name as I will have my post pulled (boo!!!) Anyway keep in touch my friend and maybe we can help each other. BW Crusader
Sorry this was repeated...
