Thanks very much. I was coping well for a whole year while my husband was ill and afterwards. It just hit me last week with various events taking place with visitors coming and the dog being sick. I find during this phase I keep wondering what I can do at night to calm down but anticipating feeling anxious I'm sure is making everything worse. Don't know how to stop. I am more anxious during the night than on previous bouts with this. I used to calmly get up, do some activity like folding laundry and then go back to bed. Now I find I go back to bed and am antsy within minutes. I know theoretically you should get up after 15 minutes but on previous occasions I think I used to get up at longer intervals and this made the night feel more mangeable. It's all phases and I know they pass (at least I keep telling myself this).
