i'm giving up

Posted by AJM on August 12, 2002 at 20:54:25:

i'm back again. i tried to stay away from this forum for a while so that i could stop obsessing over my sleep. not reading it for a couple of weeks helped me to focus on other things. and it actually helped for a while. now i'm back to insomnia and man this time it came back strong. actually, it never went away but i haven't had a good spell in months now.

i am surviving on barely 3 to 4 hrs. of sleep a night and still going on with my daily activities. I feel tonight like i am terminally ill. my legs are so weak they shake when i walk. i'm so exhausted.yet i go to sleep at night only to wake up 1 hour or 2 or 3 hrs later, sometimes not getting back to sleep at all and if i do, it takes hours. i can't take this! i feel like my body is going to get so sick and just give out! i can't think straight! and i almost fell asleep driving today.

please, how did you people do it? how do you survive on such a minimal amount of sleep??? usually if i do this i'll have one good night in the middle of it all that will refresh me. i haven't had one in almost 10 days. i'm wasting away here. i'm so tired that i feel like i'm going to throw up. please help. encouragement anyone?? and how did you do this, any of you, and manage to not get severely ill??

i'm a normal 25 year old woman except for this stupid problem..and i feel like i'm 80 right now. at least my body does.
thanks for letting me vent. i feel like giving up.
