I am in the exact same place right now and I've been working with different medications to try to get some sleep. My doctor first prescribed Trazadone which didnt seem to work too well so now I'm taking Serax which is much better and I wake up feeling fine. The strange thing is, during the time I've been suffering with this insomnia I had my appendix outand while I was recovering and on pain killers I had the best sleep I've had in a loooong time! The doctors wont prescribe pain meds for sleep though! I would prefer to work this out without the drugs but at this point I'll take what I can get. Good luck to you!
