Hi John
sympathies with your predicament!
My find it impossible to pleep in the same bed as my husband, we start off in the same bed but I lie there while he sleeps stressing that I might thrash around and disturb him, he also snores which makes it impossible.
We have another room set up for me to suffer my insomnia!so I can read until I may fall asleep.
I find myself reading til I am so tired I fall asleep but the action of turning out the light wakes me up again.... vicious circle.
This has been a few yrs as have 2 small children .
B.C (or before children) had 8 hours sleep, now am lucky if I get more than 4 at a stretch.
Am on .50 of Xanax to help the stress level rising, my dr said the sleep pills help with REM sleep but don't always get you thru the night.
Last night was the 2nd night on increased dose from .25 to .50 and I think (?) I went from 11pm to 5am....first time.
My boys were all poor sleepers and used to end up with both of them in the bed and me sandwiched in the middle.... now they normally sleep all night but I think my body is in alert response constantly listening for any noise or them waking!
I wish you luck and don't feel bad about sleeping apart from the wif, try to at least get a bed set up to escape to!
Sweet Dreams
Niki
