Like Paul, I started sleep restriction last Feb. and while it was tough at first, I am averaging 7hrs. per night without meds. In the 7 months I have taken Ativan(one quarter of one mg) about 5 or 6 times....that's it for 7months.

During the 7 months I should say that I have been paying attention to what I eat, I exercise(work out at the gym) 5 times a week and I take no caffeine, nicotine, etc.

Stick with it Heidi2...it can be done. I also weaned very slowly off meds and I think I was more psychologically addicted as I took care not to get physically addicted.
