Fifth Night....

Posted by heidi2 on September 15, 2002 at 09:01:55:

Good Morning, dear friends. I think the sleep restriction is beginning to work! I went to bed at the same time last night (1:10 am). While I was lying on the couch listening to a relaxation tape, I almost fell asleep! That was, indeed, a pleasant surprise!

Unfortunately, when I went to bed, my nose was so stuffed up that I had to spend some time blowing, sneezing and spraying. I have to figure out what to do and whether I should take something to help with that. (I think it is an allergy to clumping kitty litter.) I really think I would have slept more if it hadn't been for that.

I turned the clock away so I would not look. I woke up around 4:00 and, again, the nose was terrible. At this point I had slept around 2.5 hours.

I probably went back to sleep an hour later and woke up late (at 7:50 a.m.) It looks like I slept around 5+ hours. I still feel tired and need more sleep, but I am really encouraged now and am determined to continue.

I really am grateful to all of you and the supportive messages I have received here. thank you. heidi2
