I still cant sleep, I am on a medical leave of absence from work, I havent slept more than 3 hours in the last 2 months and not ever more than 5. Last week my doctor gave me 10mg of Ambien, Guess what--- it does'nt work, only gives me 3-4 hours. I was on Desyrel and that didn't work either. Tommorrow I have an appointment with a sleep specialist to see what he can come up with. I am not ruling out depression as a cause but when I was on Paxil, My insomnia got worse. SSRI type Anti-depressants actually harm sleep than help(at least for me). As for the sleep restriction plans i've read- hell I need to sleep first, I need all I can get. See you tommorrow with the sleep docs opinion.
