Still hanging on

Posted by heidi2 on September 17, 2002 at 08:35:01:

Hi, dear friends, I am still hanging in there. It is getting difficult. It has been one week now on sleep restriction. I had one night of approx. 5-1/2 hrs sleep and one night with about 1 hour. The rest has been 3 to 3-1/2 hours. I am not sure I can continue to do this indefinitely. I feel pretty exhausted.

Last night I took the air purifier into the bedroom and also the tape player. It helped to fall asleep. But woke up 2 hours later with stuffed up nose and was awake for at least an hour and then woke up way before my designated time. (How disappointing!)

Once I have the allergy problem taken care of, I wonder whether the sleep will improve. I have a feeling it will.

I am putting my life on hold at the moment. I was going to go for an interview today but am putting it off until I feel better. I am tired and I am beginning to look it.

I am keeping up my walking every day and doing something positive, like a litte volunteer work.

It is interesting how, as the day progresses, one starts to feel a little better.

Thanks for your support. heidi2
