Posted by Markct on September 17, 2002 at 11:11:54:Hi everyone, this is such a great site! I have been follwing this site for quite some time, have posted once or twice, but decided to fight his on my own..over the last six months I have followed strict sleep restriction and it worked amazingly! I started when I stopped taking (ativan--never ever want to use this drug again) but because I was severly addicted, I started replacing it with zopiclone, not nearly as effective, but enough to wein me off of Ativan...I was also taking remeron during this whole ordeal.....because last fall I was depressed alot...anyway I was sleeping much better over the last 6-7 months with only minor setbacks, but always seemed to be followed by a good night the next evening....I always go to bed 11- 11:30ish, and always got up at 7am.....the last two nights have been horrible, not sure how much sleep I've had, but it was really late when I did finally get to sleep, and of course I still get up at 7...yesterday I worked and worked hard so I could tire myself out so I would sleep lastnight...but 11:30 came went to bed...felt tired. then all of a sudden I felt awake., so insread of waking my fiance I went on the couch..the whole night I heard the clock ticking...I can't see it because it's dark, but tick tick....GRR so now I feel like I am starting over again....back to meds? I have a bit of zopiclone ( did not work last night) and I still take about 7.5 mgs of remeron....up until the last couple of nights I was med free except for odd night....and I still take remeron everynight to every second night.....I know that this isn't bad compared to some, but I know deep down my anxiety is the biggest problem here...thanks for all your words of wisdom.....took the day off to try and relax....hope all your days are great, and your nights filled with wonderful deep sleeps....Mark
