Thanks for your empathy, David. I learned about benzo withdrawl from benzo.org. It's an informative site, and scared me straight; I freaked out and stopped Xanax cold turkey, even though it advised against it. It was a very painful and uncomfortable several weeks, but luckily I wasn't very far down that road. I'd only taken 18 pills, so I didn't want to take any more, even to taper.

It's so hard to focus on the positive when I don't seem to be getting better. Last night was 3 hours, after several days of 4. The hardest part is 7-9am--I just cry and cry.

I don't want to be a victim. I really don't. It doesn't help, and just feels horrible.
