ajm, sorry to keep pushing advice on you, but from what i've read, the most important thing to get your sleep mechanism adjusted is keeping a regular wake up time. the time you go to bed is less important. one sleep psychologist i went to said i should get out of bed immediately when the alarm rang, at the exact same time 7 days a week. I did get up quite that quickly, but within 10 minutes of my alarm i was out of bed every day. I still set my alarm 7 nights a week, altho i now allow myself to linger a few extra minutes on weekends, but no more than half an hour.
