Beth, I'm so glad that you made this post. I have been thinking the samething. Dragging my sorry bottom out of bed after not being able to sleep after a half hour is always difficult. As I'm crawling out of bed I'm thinking Oh! great I have to go to work in a few hours and here I am up. But after sticking it out I am now sleeping much better.
One other thing that made a HUGE difference was the change in my attitude during the day. I took huge steps to be positive even with little or NO sleep. I changed my thinking. I'm not going to tell you that I noticed a change right away, but after a couple of weeks of positive thinking during the day it made for more positive results at night.
Let me also say, it was not easy to remain positive when I was so tired, but I knew that my negative thinking had gotten me no where.
I now go to bed with little or no anxiety because I know this to shall pass.
