Thanks Beth.

I read in a chair before going to bed and during the night and wasn't sure if this was okay. I too hate going up and down the stairs during the night and find that it doesn't help.

I was never really anxious in the daytime, but as soon as I hit the pillow I would think about my insomnia and become anxious after an hour had past.

I have to work on my early wake up though as I awoke at 5:30 this morning and stayed in bed till 8 trying to fall back to sleep which I don't think I did. I have a tendency to linger in bed after awakening on the weekends which is probably a no no with SR. After a good nights sleep I like to stay in bed and enjoy the relaxed and dopey feeling which doesn't happen often enough so I savour the moment. This is the time when my bed is my friend.
