Paxil for Insomnia??

I am a 28 year old, who has been experiencing insomnia for the first time (for 3 months so far). My doctors tell me that my insomnia is anxiety related, and have prescribed Paxil to alleviate the insomnia. They say it will take 4 weeks to work, but I am hesitant to take Paxil because of its serious withdrawal side effects. Has anyone had success with Paxil to for anxiety related insomnia, or can anyone recommend anything else to help me with my anxiety?
