Xyrem for insomnia?

Posted by Xev on January 27, 2003 at 14:34:43:

Does anyone know if any Doctor can prescribe xyrem to treat my insomnia? I understand that it has only been approved to treat narcolepsey, but I also understand that it has a long history of treating insomnia as well with great success. I also understand that a Medical Doctor can prescribe approved medications for non-approved uses such as with the case of Paxil for the use of OCD prior to its recent approval for the disorder. If anybody can shed any light on this please help.
