Hi! I talked to a specialist, that my psychiatrist recommended about the sleeping meds and pregnancy. She said that taking a small dose of elavil was fine. That she thought it was better than taking tylenol pm on a regular basis. She said trazadone was newer, so she felt more comfortable with me taking elavil. THey discussed it with the obstetrician and he said it was ok. So, so relieved to hear that I can take something. They said it was safe for nursing as well. Thanks for your information! Jen
