Insomnia is a monster that feeds itself. But like Les Z. said, it is only because we make it so.


Yeah, I think your body can get accustomed to getting by with just a few hours of sleep. It works for a while, it can actually work for years, but in the very long term the results can be pretty severe.


I've mentioned this before, but severe and ultimate sleep-deprivation is very frightening. When I was in the military, it was normal to basiclly go for a week without sleep. The result is physical, mental, and neurological exhaustion by which I mean losing the ability to think and act in a rational manner.

Myself, I had a good nights sleep last night for the first time in a few days. I slept 7 hours straight. Not bad.
