hi,
i know what you mean about never getting sleepy and feeling that your sleep system is broken. that is just how i used to feel. it was amazing how i could function on so little sleep month after month.

all i can say is, your body can relearn how to sleep and your sleep system can be strenghtened again. it may take a long time, but your body knows what to do, and eventually sleep will come on a regular basis. i had some trouble sleeping for about a week last week. it was amazing how tired i felt, and i was getting 6 hours per night! during my chronic insomnia, 6 hours felt like a huge amount. now that i am used to 7 or 8 hrs every night, my body is no longer used to going without, and i couln't believe i was complaining after getting 6 hours.

hang in there--nothing ever stays the same and this too shall pass.
