Dear Loops..I agree with Paul that benzos can be quite addicting. I had gotten into the swing of psychological and physical addiction for a few years but that waw when my insomnia was new, raging and quite scary. Now that I have reached a point with almost being recovered, and this is after nine years of on again, off again insomnia I can take a pill one night or even two without the threat of becoming addicted again. I think the problem is basiclly the fear and the anxiety which curtails all positive efforts to sleep. Now that I know I am capable of sleeping most nights without anything, the occasional night or two does not effect me like it did years ago. So being that you are in a very vulnerable position right now youmay become adicted quite readily. Maybe you can try it one nigh on and one night off, and use some melatonin or valerian in between. No not mix herbs with prescvription. You can get quite serious hangovers and no one knows for sure what the consequences will be. Work on your anxiety and try to become more positive, with a devil may care attiture" so what if I don't sleep"...This in the longrun will help you more than any drug.. Sincerely, Hope
