I called the pharmacist and he said that it is not a controlled drug. So, it is not something that you are required to wean down slowly from. But, if it is a medication that you have been taking for awhile and are very used to it, then I will have better results to slowly wean off it, to not have a huge change in how I feel right away. Which seems to make sense. I am sure that is why I stopped sleeping well when I lowered the dose to quickly. Maybe I need to get my body used to lower doses slower.
